The script can generate EAN-13 barcodes. Since this is the most widely used standard, other standards were excluded due to their lack of demand in the printing industry at the time. The script is useful because it does not require the installation of add-ons for the popular Adobe Illustrator package, which can corrupt files and depend on the version. This script works with Adobe versions starting with CS3 and later, and runs on both Windows and Mac OSX platforms.
